Conversations at work triggered the following thought — will one-on-one communication get easier if we can figure out the framework the other person uses to learn or absorb new information?
Every time we interact we trigger a "chain of thoughts" in that person's mind (which fires based on their knowledge, memory, biases, etc.). What if we got some tangible insight on how their internal model works?
Two Communication Frameworks
A) Top Down / Bottom Up
Some folks learn top down: give them the bigger picture first then go deep step by step. Others prefer to dive into the details and then build the understanding block by block.
B) Intent / Action Bias
There are folks who can't act unless they get a holistic understanding of the outcome metrics. While some prefer thinking about the actions they need to perform first and then connect that to the outcomes.
