"Dr. Pauling, how do you have so many good ideas?"

He replied — "Well, you just have lots of ideas and throw away the bad ones."

This is a famous quote by Dr. Linus Pauling, a 2-time Nobel Laureate and one of the greatest minds in Chemistry. He published over 1,200 papers and books, of which 850 were scientific ones.

Every time I feel that I have this one good idea, I try to remind myself about this quote. What are the odds of that one idea succeeding (keeping aside all the risks and why it can't be implemented)?

"In the hyper-competitive world, a true superpower will be the ability to generate lots of ideas (with the support of AI). Solve for the quantity of ideas — quality is probabilistic."
